Bolt Action at 2017 SWA Game-a-thons

()

We're looking to kick off a semi-annual Bolt Action day at the Schenectady Wargamers Association Game-a-thon on January 14th.

Please bring 500 points in a single platoon.  We will have spare armies available if anyone is interested but doesn't have anything made up.

This is coinciding with the beginning of a joint NY/NJ escalation league that we are looking at linking up with if there are a couple people interested from the Albany Area.

Albany Battletech League 2013 - Players Wanted!

()

Battletech MechThe Albany Battletech League invites you to play in our 2013 season!  Players will be constructing their Classic Battletech force a little differently this year.  For all you sports fans, we’ll be drafting battlemechs and pilots just like a fantasy football league!  Players will then face off in a series of matches in a friendly competitive atmosphere.  This League is about having fun!!  THERE IS NO FEE TO PLAY!!!

League matches are held one Thursday night and when demand dictates, one Saturday per month at Zombie Planet located on Central Avenue in Albany, or at the SWA Game-A-Thon location in Schenectady.  Participation in every ‘League Night’ is NOT mandatory.  Show up for a night/day of gaming when you have the time!

The League has enjoyed great prize support the past few years.

Beginners are welcome!!  The League veteran players are more than happy to teach Classic Battletech to newcomers.  The League host is also available to assist new players during their matches.

The Albany Battletech League is hosted by Eric Alexopoulos.  Eric is a 20+ year veteran of Classic Battletech and has hosted League play since its beginning in 2007.  Please contact Eric Alexopoulos at stargazer1x /at/ yahoo.com for details.

You may remember that Fernando Enterprises, the miniatures painting service, sent samples of their work as prize support for Council of Five Nations.

They have followed-up and sent us a supply of their promotional 2012 calendar.

These calendars will be available at the January 14th Game-a-thon, and at future Thons, until they're gone (we have 25 to give away).
