Diplomacy Play By EMail (PBEM)
What better way to keep in touch in between gaming sessions than to play
games by email!? My name is Aaron Marriner, and most of you probably don't
know who I am. I've been to the Studio just once, and I'm trying to become
a more active member of the group.
That being said, there are times when I can't make it to meetings, or
find players. Enter PBEM gaming. I thought it would be fun to hold some
SWA-only PBEM games to help keep the group talking and playing. Specifically,
I've run several Diplomacy PBEM games in the past, and have a site up and
running to do so (there are other games as well, but Dip is probably a good
starting point). Therefore, I'm looking for some SWA Dippers to start up a game. We can
play the Standard map, or there are some other interesting map variants
as well (Sail Ho!, and Ancient Med are good when you have less than 7).
If you'd like to take a look at the site before you decide to play, go to:
You can view the current games, and a few of the older completed games.
That site will be where all of the playing takes place (correspondence,
turn reports, maps, etc).
Drop me a line if you're interested at: amarriner@amarriner.com.
I can probably only run one game right now (possibly two if it's a smaller
one), but hopefully this will take off and we can keep it going as time
goes on. So who's up for a good stabbing?
Aaron

You folks should check out Aaron's web site even if you're not interested in the Diplomacy PBEM. It's got a lot of cool gaming-related stuff.
