Game-a-thons

Game-a-thons: March = Record Attendance, April = Swap Meet

()

Hello Capital District Gamers,

March = Record Game-a-thon Attendance

We are very happy to announce that the March 10th Game-a-thon had record attendance... and the old record (52) wasn't just surpassed, it was crushed!

We had 67 attendees, and this doesn't even count the 6 who were present for the 2012 Northeast TITAN Championships (congratulations to Mycroft Sowizral!).  Seventy-three gamers playing this past Saturday... Amazing!

A big part of this surge can be attributed to two factors:
  1. The return to the Studio of the Fort Orange Gamers, organized by Marvin & Jamie Veeder.  We look forward to hosting their kid-oriented miniatures games every month.
  2. The return to the SWA of RPGA D&D, organized by our new RPGA Czars, Matt Gallinger & Rob Kirker.  We look forward to RPGA action every month too.
And let's not forget all the other GMs who sponsored games: Matt Barker, Tim Carleton, Matt Chambers, Mike Dixon, Troy Ferris, Mike Haggett, Daryl Kimmel, Brett McLean, Jennifer Paperman, Mike Sanchez, Tom Talasco, Will Walker, Evan Whitefield & John Whitehead.

April 21st = Swap Meet

Don't forget that once a quarter, we have a Swap Meet at Game-a-thon.  That's this coming April 21st.

Just in time for Spring Cleaning.  This is a great time to clear those games off your shelf and put a few bucks in your pocket (or spend that cash on new games).  Plan ahead on what you want to bring and sell.  One table is only $2.  If our attendance stays this high, you'll have lots of potential buyers.
